LOGLINE:

Light is a disabled man who is desperate for life and decides to commit suicide. Nina, a blind girl, suddenly breaks into Light’s life and interrupts his suicide.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

Before shooting the short film “IN YOUR EYES”. I returned to my hometown, a small seaside town in China. In this town, there is a special street where a group of blind people reside. They earn their livelihood through providing massages and pedicures. I spent half a month living with them, capturing their daily lives on camera and delving into their stories and perspectives on society. Initially met with resistance and distrust, I took the time to introspect and empathize with their way of life. I find great satisfaction in immersing myself in unique environments to gain insight into marginalized groups within society. It is worth noting that this short film is also inspired by the narratives shared by these individuals.
