Ceramic, 2024

Interpretations of a Chicken draws from many influences, presenting ceramic objects as sculpture, functional object and a hybrid of these definitions. The work consists of vessels and sculptures constructed using the visual language of mechs and gundams, with references to the form and features of chickens – creating a chimera of zoomorphic vessel and pop culture mechanics. Zoomorphic vessels are present in any culture or history that has made ceramic forms, so my project builds off of this historical precedent.
