Flow Currents is an Impressionist series of the places I been around Vancouver, British Columbia by using salt mixed with gesso/ modelling paste to create thick texture. The series include of day and night time scenes, create the dept of 3D effect in the painting. Flow Currents, each of the painting given a sense of movements and flow like flashback memories of the places. They are the memory collections of my travel experience here in Canada.

Farung Butboon ( BFA in Visual Fine Art) is a Thai painter resides in Vancouver, BC. Her practice is Textural Impressionism by using different materials mixed with gesso/ modelling paste. Farung is passionate with the beauty of nature and brings the impression into her work as memory collection of each places. She likes to work with thick texture by using palette knife and play around with colours.
