ARTIST STATEMENT

Ever since the release of Pixar’s Toy Story in 1995 I have been fascinated by computer animation. The narrative told in three-dimensional space is a wide medium branching to animation, modelling, texturing, and much more. I wanted to create a 3D Animated Short that can bring nostalgia to its viewer, to inspire, to stand tall and to keep moving forward in hard times.

Rodner Sebastian Valerio is a Filipino Artist based in Richmond, BC, specializing in 3D Environment Modelling. He studied at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, majoring in 3D Computer Animation, Bachelor of Media Arts and continually learning from instructors and professors currently working in the industry. In his spare time, he does acrylic painting commissions inspired from musical stage plays.
